Fitz
Meet Mr. FitzHerbert, Fitz for short. He is my first "unofficial" dog. He was born in November of 2001. Someone found him hiding under a car at 6 weeks old. He was brought to a rescue group in St. Louis, Missouri. We met on an adoption day at a local Petco. There were two kittens there but Fitz wouldn't stop crying when I put him down to ask about him. I took him home that day and he's been my "dog" ever since.
He has been trained just like a dog. He can walk on a harness, sit, beg, stand and comes to a whistle. He will also speak if you ring a certain bell. We are working on his agility skills right now. He can go through the tunnnel, over jumps and is learning the weave poles. Fitz does not believe in manners. He will only follow a command if a treat is presented beforehand. If there is no treat, there is no deal.
Fitz and Graham are the best of buddies even though their personalities are like night and day. Fitz can be very dog-like, but there is no denying that he is a cat. He has shown Graham the joys of catnip and chasing bugs. Graham has even stolen a few of his toys. Through the years, Fitz has been there to make me laugh and help me through the tough times. He is a hard cat to know, but it has all been worth it. I love my Fitzy Man!Jax
Jax is the newest addition to my family. She is the sweetest kitty I have ever met. Jax was born on September 7, 2007 and came to live with us in February of 2009. She is quite the snuggle bug and is already excelling at everything Fitz can do and more. Jax loves her two brothers and is always there to greet me when I get home. Like her brothers, she is very funny and always up for a snuggle when a lap presents itself. Her favorite things are eating and being brushed.Even though she hasn't been with us very long, it feels like I've known Jax forever. I'm so glad she came to live with us. I love my Jaxy Lady!
