"He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion."

Puppy Lesson

l
If you want a well-behaved dog, you have to start by teaching your puppy what is expected of him the very first day. I will teach you how to be your puppy’s pack leader, how and when to socialize him, tips for grooming your puppy, housetraining and crate training tips as well as how to reverse car-sickness. Your new bundle of joy will learn not to bite, which chew toys are acceptable, where to eliminate and preliminary obedience work. If you start your puppy out as a Gentle Hound, you won't have to worry about a problem dog later. Puppies must be between 8 weeks and 16 weeks of age.

Basic Obedience

This is a series of four lessons. In lesson 1, your dog will learn to use proper corrections, how to sit stay and walk on a loose leash. In lesson 2, your dog will be introduced to the heel, look and down stay exercises. In lesson 3, your dog will learn the long leash recall and the short leash recall. In lesson 4, your dog will be introduced to the stand stay and the moving down. I will also explain how and when to use a remote collar and off leash exercises. Once your dog has these basics mastered, he will be on his way to becoming a well-mannered dog.

Problem Behavior

l
Learn to stop inappropriate chewing, house-soiling, pulling on the leash, jumping on guests and more. These are highly individualized lessons that address specific problems you are having with your dog. These individual plans are integrated with Basic Obedience for the management and elimination of bad habits your dog has developed. These lessons generally last four sessions.
